Lambs for Resurrection Day #10

  Hello Fellow Needle Felter Explorers,

What a glorious day is coming "Resurrection Sunday" (many know it as Easter). The Lamb of God, Jesus who was slain inorder for us to be reconciled to God. Thank you Jesus.

5" hoops

The above 2D hoop wool paintings were felted onto a piece of sheet felt (approx. 25 cents for a full sheet, some use wool felt sheets which cost quite a bit more). Cut the felt background sheet larger than the hoop and lightly pencil the circle shape on it. Now take thin wisps of wool for your background (I used blue, but you could use sunset colors) and with your multi-tool stab in. Make the body by stabbing curly wool lamb locks in an oval shape. Next make the black lamb head & ears (NO eyes needed) on your mat separately. Felt the head into the body. Hopefully you remembered to leave enough room for words. I used flathead nails for the legs, you could use twigs or felt them in. I used an awl to make holes for the nail legs and than glued them in. For the letters I took long thin roving which I rolled in my hands, drafted and needle felted into place.

This lamb was made from a halved (cut with scissors or a kitchen knife) dryerball and then  instead of curly locks I used a textured yarn which I needle felted in.

This lambs body was made with a star cookie cutter shape, than the head was made and placed on one of the star 🌟 arms. Heart pocket also shown. The metallic sparkle comes from Angelina fiber which has been mixed into the wool, otherwise it won't needle felt in.

These colorful lambs were made on round/oval cookie cutter shaped needle felted pieces. The heads were attached next, than the curly locks and finally the nail legs. Made into magnets or a string attached for an ornament. Inspired by a tutorial by Liongate Farms on YouTube.

These above sheep ornaments were made by my friend Denise G. here in NC that had done the same needle felting class that I had done in 2023 just a week later. The top sheep were her initial ornaments in 2023 and her bottom sheep were 2 years later. I also love her cross ✝️ on an egg shape.

This sheep πŸ‘ grazing in a cup was the first 3D sheep I made in 2023.

Jesus is the lamb of God.

Have a Blessed Resurrection Sunday and may you draw closer to Him. Amen πŸ™

Thanks for coming along on this adventure, God Bless.

Romans 12:2 ... but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

I hope you continue to come along.
