Hello Needle Felter Explorers,
There is so much you can do with needle felting: animal sculptures, head plaques, wreaths, magnets, keychain, ornaments, jewelry, wool paintings and more.
You can paint with wool? YES.
An easy way to start is to buy a pre-made kit. Best kits to buy are from individual private companies (see below) not Amazon, Temu, or Hobby Lobby (quality of materials are not as good, and instructions are usually limited).
This fuzzy bunny 🐰 🐇 is from a kit by Living Felt (Texas based company). Kits made by individual small companies (USA based ones are: Liongate Farms, Noom Old Schoolhouse, Living Felt
& Sarafina just to name a few) are the best. Better quality wools, fabrics, needles, instructions, and accessories. More expensive (but worth it). Other accessories needed to make this 2D bunny was a hoop, the Living Felt fur comb (pictured below) and an iron-on Transfer Pen (comes in several colors, I have the black).

This Highland Cow kit came from Hobby Lobby, I used many of my own wools. Quality of the wools is not as good as going through independent stores like Liongate Farms & Living Felt. The directions on how to needle felt each project is usually very limited, in most of these cheaper kits. No directions were given in the above Highland cow project just the photo.
This cat kit was found in a thrift store, again I used my own stash of wool for the sky & grass.
I used glass green eyes that I had, but you can needle felt the eyes in. Limited directions for this kit.
NOW a days, I don't do kits much unless, I or a friend find them at a Goodwill or thrift store. I prefer to find an outlined picture that I like or a photo that I have taken. Than I transfer it or I freehand it onto my fabric. I will show you this process in a future blog, stick around.
Thanks for coming along on this adventure, God Bless.

I hope you continue to come along.
