Believe in the Process #7

 Hello Needle Felter Explorers,

Here's some cuteness 😍 overload

Sleeping Mouse 🐁

This weeks blog has to do with believing in / respecting the process. What does that mean

Process in the Webster Dictionary means "A series of actions or steps taken inorder to achieve a particular end/goal."

I was trying to make a unicorn πŸ¦„ head for the first time, it turned into a Mallard duck head. It's front was long and skinny which equaled a ducks bill, when I looked at it.

My 2nd try turned into the unicorn (above photo) head. It is rounder (ball shaped) with a shorter oval added to the front for it's mussel, than the gap was covered over. See the difference in the two above photos?

The completed Unicorn πŸ¦„ Head

When I first started NF while watching a YouTuber (Sarafina Fiber Arts) she was making a sleeping mouse 🐁, mine ended up looking like a mule (I made the head too square and long). The ears were also too big and placed in the wrong position on it's head.

I laughed πŸ˜… & laughed 🀣  (it's good medicine to laugh at yourself sometimes). My daughter loves ❤️ her little mouse.

Below is a mouse I made probably a year later for one of my daughter's friends.

I recently tried making the sleeping mouse 🐁 again (see below) with YouTuber Sarafina Fiber Arts. What a difference 2 1/2 years makes. Sarafina has a kit or supply pack you can buy which has enough materials to make 8 - 10 sleeping mice.

I often don't think the animals look right at the beginning, but once I start adding the facial features and coloring it, it does. So believe in the process and with experience it only gets better.

Needle felting can initially be easily pulled off when you don't like something. If needle felted in strong it might not come out. If you don't like something ripe it out or cut it out and start again or cover it up. Like I did the nose to make it smaller.

The below photo shows the mouse 🐁 after I used the reverse needle to give a whisker effect.

Thanks for coming along on this adventure, God Bless.

Romans 12:2 ... but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

I hope you continue to come along.

  1. I love your creativity and the explanation of how the process is related to how the Lord is working on us.
